Shearer's Foods Inc, a portfolio company of U.S. private equity firm Wind Point Partners and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, has agreed to acquire Lance Private Brands from Snyder's-Lance Inc (NASDAQ: LNCE). No financial terms were disclosed although some news outlets report the amount of the purchase to be US$430 million. Lance Private Brands is a maker of cookies, crackers and wafers. Update: Based in Massillon, Ohio, Shearer's is a contract manufacturer and private label supplier in the snack industry.  It was bought by Wind Point and Ontario Teachers in 2012.
Integrated Supply Network Inc (ISN), a portfolio company of U.S.-based Audax Private Equity, recently acquired a Canadian automotive tool and equipment distributor. That is according to a report from aftermarketNews. ISN is reported as having purchased Montréal's Distribution PDG Inc on Jan. 6. Financial details of the transaction were not published. Based in Lakeland, Florida, ISN is a wholesaler of tools, testing equipment and related supplies sold into the aftermarket automotive repair industry. Audax invested in the company in 2011.
Canadian private equity firms Delavaco Residential Properties Corp (TSXV: DVO.U) and York Plains Investment Corp have completed their acquisition of H60 Canada Inc for US$6.24 million. The company indirectly owns 19 residential properties located in New Jersey, consisting of 96 rental units. Based in Toronto, Delavaco invests in the U.S. residential real estate sector. Also based in Toronto, York Plains invests in both private and public securities.
Information technology consulting company Presidio Inc has tapped Barclays Plc and Credit Suisse Group AG to explore an initial public offering or a sale that could value the company at close to $1.5 billion, sources told Reuters.

Golden Gate Capital has agreed to acquire Phillips-Medisize Corp. from Kohlberg & Company. No financial terms were disclosed. Goldman Sachs advised Phillips-Medisize on the transaction while Robert W Baird advised Golden Gate Capital. Headquartered in Hudson, Wisconsin, Phillips-Medisize is a provider of design and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic and specialty commercial sectors.
Permira is to acquire TeamViewer for an undisclosed sum. TeamViewer is a global provider of secure remote support software and online meetings. TeamViewer is being acquired from GFI Software, a European-based infrastructure software provider.
