Medical Solutions has acquired OA Nurse Travel from On Assignment. Financial terms weren't announced. OA Nurse Travel, of Cincinnati, provides traveling nurses. Omaha-based Medical Solutions is owned by Tenex Capital Management and McCarthy Capital.

One Earth Farms Corp., an agri-food and consumer products company, acquired Beretta Farms Inc., a Toronto-based natural and organic branded meat products company. The transaction was done in consideration of cash and shares in One Earth Farms. One Earth Farms, which is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is a subsidiary of Sprott Resource Corp., which has invested in the company in partnership with First Nations since 2009. The company has also been backed by CAPE Fund, a Canadian private equity firm focused on investing in aboriginal businesses and entrepreneurs.

War Eagle Mining Company Inc., a Vancouver, British Columbia-based mineral exploration and development company which is currently focused on projects in Mexico, completed its acquisition of Andromeda Resources Inc., also based in Vancouver. Under the terms of the agreement, War Eagle will carry on the base metals development business of Andromeda in Mexico. War Eagle is currently a portfolio investment of Canadian private equity firm PineTree Capital, which acquired shares in the company in December, 2012.
