Advent International has named Jon McNeill as an advisory partner. McNeill is the former chief operating officer of Lyft Inc and ex-president of global sales, marketing, delivery and service at Tesla Motors Inc.
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has named Björn Killmer as a partner. Previously, he was co-head of Triton Partners' energy and resources team. No financial terms were disclosed.

Recently, he worked at EyeCare Services Partners where he was chief development officer. ONS was backed by Kohlberg & Company.
Franworth, a franchise-focused growth equity firm, has promoted Dave Keil, operating partner and chief operating officer, to company president. Also, the firm has named David Taccolini as chief financial officer.
Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a private equity firm focused on the technology and healthcare industries, has appointed Tim Clifford, Emanuele Conti and John Fay as operating partners. Recently, Clifford was president and CEO of Frontline Education, Conti was the CEO of Opus Global and Fay is an ex-CEO of INTTRA.
Austin, Texas-based Next Ventures, a venture firm focused on sports, fitness, nutrition, and wellness markets, has named Melanie Strong as a managing partner. Previously, Strong was a member of the firm's advisory board. Next Ventures was founded by Lance Armstrong and Lionel Conacher.
Advanced Agrilytics, which is backed by Paine Schwartz Partners, has appointed Paul Schickler as chairman of the board. Schickler is the former president of DuPoint Pioneer. Indiana-based Advanced Agrilytics is an agronomics services business.
Virtus said Oct. 10 that Mike Kesner, John Eichmann, Eric Banduch, Joey Eichmann, and Angela Aiello have joined the company. Virtus did not disclose where the Chicago team worked at before, but said the group founded and led a large private equity insurance practice. Virtus is a portfolio company of Agman.
