Vena Solutions said Aug. 8 that Hunter Madeley was named CEO effective immediately. Founding CEO Don Mal is retiring but will remain with the company in an advisory and support role. Vena is backed by JMI and Centana Growth Partners.
Starwood Retail Partners, a subsidiary of Starwood Capital Group, has named Vincent Corno as chief operating officer. Prior to joining Starwood Retail Partners, Corno worked at Brixmor Property Group.
Menlo Ventures has hired Jean-Paul Sanday as a partner. Previously, he worked at Summit Partners as an inflection-stage investor.
Contentserv, a Swiss product experience platform, has named Steve Murphy as chief revenue officer. Prior to joining Contentserv, Murphy worked at Informatica. Contentserv is backed by Investcorp.
CircleUp said Aug. 8 that Dr. Neil Constable has joined the company as its first chief investment officer. Constable joins from Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co LLC, where, from 2006-2019, he variously served as partner, head of global equity and head of quantitative research. CircleUp is backed by investors including Union Square Ventures, GV, Canaan Partners, and QED Advisors.
Atlanta-based Global Franchise Group, a brand acquisition and management firm, has promoted Jenn Johnston to chief brand officer and president of franchise operations. Also, the firm has hired Jim Parrish as chief operating officer. GFG is backed by Lion Capital LLP and Serruya Private Equity Inc.
Lovell Minnick Partners said Aug. 8 that Scott Shebelsky was promoted to CFO.
