New York City-based Rgenix Inc, a developer of first-in-class small molecule and antibody cancer therapeutics, has named Dr. Robert Wasserman as its new chief medical officer. Recently, Wasserman was chief medical officer at Toronto-based Northern Biologics, a developer of first-in-class immuno-oncology products. Rgenix's backers include Lepu Medical, Oceanpine Capital, WuXi AppTec’s Corporate Venture Fund, Novo Holdings A/S, Sofinnova Partners, Alexandria Venture Investments LLC and the Partnership Fund for New York City.
Battea Class Action Services has named Michael J. McCreesh as president. McCreesh is a former managing director at Goldman Sachs. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Battea is a provider of action antitrust and securities litigation recovery services, international litigation research and monitoring to more than 800 institutional investors, banks and hedge funds.

Hamilton Lane has appointed Niki Mangos as chief technology officer. Mangos is the former chief information officer at Brandywine Global Investment Management.
Shatter Fund LLC, an venture firm focused on technology companies led and founded by female entrepreneurs, has named Jenny Johnson as an adviser. Johnson is president and chief operating officer of Franklin Templeton.
AMTdirect, a provider of lease management solutions, has named Jeff Ralyea as CEO. Previously, Ralyea worked at ECi Solutions where he was a division president. AMTdirect is backed by Luminate Capital Partners.
Eleanor, West Virginia-based Appalachian Railcar Services LLC, a provider of railcar repair, railcar storage, plant loading and unloading, and short line switching operation, has appointed Michael Obertop as chief commercial officer. Previously, Obertop worked at CaD Railway & Caltrax where he was vice president of sales and business development. ARS is backed by GenNx360 Capital Partners.
Evercore has named Andrew MacNiven as a senior managing director for the firm's investment banking business. Previously, MacNiven was a managing director at RBC Capital Markets. He is based in Toronto. An independent investment banking advisory firm, Evercore opened its Toronto office in 2012.
Legal 1031 Exchange Services LLC, a division of Kensington Vanguard National Land Services, a title insurance and settlement agency, has promoted James T. Walther Esq., LL.M. to general counsel. Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Verve Therapeutics, a next-generation cardiovascular company, has named Dr. Andrew Geall to its scientific advisory board. Geall is vice president of formulations, analytics and chemistry at Avidity Biosciences. Verve's backers include GV, ARCH Venture Partners, F-Prime Capital and Biomatics Capital.
