BrightFarms, an urban agriculture company, has raised $4.9 million in Series B funding from a group of investors led by NGEN Partners, Emil Capital Partners, BrightFarms founder Ted Caplow and several other prominent investors. The funding will allow BrightFarms to continue building commercial-scale greenhouses.
Apollo Global Management and Double Eagle Energy Holdings have expanded their strategic partnership to invest in oil and gas properties. The partnership will continue with its mid-continent operations, but will look to add new projects in the Permian Basin, the Eagle Ford and the Rocky Mountains.
Inventergy, an intellectual property acquisition and licensing company, has closed on an expanded $7.25 million private placement of its common stock. Laidlaw & Company worked as lead placement agent. Due to market demand, the offering was increased by 80 percent from its original target.
